[AltS]- Cliske

"CHRIST!"

submission: [AltS]- Cliske
date: August 5, 2008

What an absolutly FUCKING BRILLANT song. At first, I was skeptical. It didn't sound like anything special and was a little dissappointed. However, I fell in love with the piece when I heard the violin(I guess) part. I always enjoy the way you add on to your piece slowly throughout most of your song, and I defiently enjoyed it in this piece too.

Now for the ending. I didn't see it coming at all! But, when I heard the original, trippy ending, I was caught of guard. I wasn't sure what to think of it. I listened to it again, and started to like it more and more. I don't recall ever hearing such an ending.

All in all, I firmly believe this is your best piece of work yet. Just to let you know, you seem to getting better and better as you go along. I look forward to your next piece.

[AltS]- Chippish

"Woohoo fun!"

submission: [AltS]- Chippish
date: August 5, 2008

I love it! It feels extremly energetic, and makes me do an embarrasing jig damn you. I love the way you mix it up a little bit throughout the song, as well as I enjoy the way you make tiny additions to it as it goes along(or at least it seems that way. Not to mention the loop is seemless. As I wrote this review, I went up to see what part of the song I enjoyed, only to realize I was back at the beginning.

So, you did everything right with this piece. Great work. KEEP IT UP!

==(Ice Desert called Earth)==

"Mkay."

date: June 23, 2008

I'll take my seck noa plz.

But srsly, it was defiantly an incredibly smooth and majestic piece. I like the way that the music flows, softly and gently it feels, but gains momentum towards the middle. I loved the techno sounded bits, and thought that all the instruments fit well together. Another good part was that it never seemed to get repetitive, with something new constantly being added.

[AltS]- Vespiano

"A little bland."

submission: [AltS]- Vespiano
date: June 22, 2008

It was quite bland and uninteresting for a majority of the song. However, it defiantly perked up for a bit around the half-way point. However, it seemed a bit repetitive to me, it felt like I was listening to the same thing over and over again. It had plenty of bright spots though, especially with the majestic piano play. Also, the drums added some exceptional depth. All in all, it was an above average piece, that just wasn't my type of music.

[AltS]- Find yourself

"Your best work without a doubt."

date: June 13, 2008

I absolutly fell in love at the beginning. It seemed to just jump out at me early, and just blow me away with the over-whelming sound. I didnt particularly like the way it calmed down after that, but it still kept me intrguied. I actually got out of my chair and started to do a little jig. It was just extremly catchy to me. It seems very techno-ish, which is definetly a form of music Im fond of. I think it could be shortened, because it just seems to become very repetitive, and just repeats itself.

Overall though, this piece was excellent to me. I loved it. Keep up the tremendous work! <33

Break into the Confusion

"Trippy."

date: June 13, 2008

It sounds real funky, in a good way. There is such a huge variety in the instruments which really adds a nice punch to it. It flows really nicely, and seems to have an all around trippy attitude. I really like the ending though, with the sudden emergence of the new instrument(violin?). I have to disagree with the previous review though, since I believe that vocals would ruin the piece, but that might just be me.

June 15, 2008

Author's Response:

Yeah..I never really plan for vocals in my songs (except for FY; I wasn't sure about that one), so I understand how you might feel about its addition.
And I was sort of aiming for that kind of funk--I'm not really good at making the funk that most people hear :P
Oh yeah, and that's a violin. I'm hoping to finish this fairly soon, maybe by the end of this month..? Anyway, thanks for all the awesome reviews on my songs. They really help :)

Carefree Orange Juice

"Hm. :/"

date: May 18, 2008

This is a tough one to review. I'm not really sure how I feel about this one. It certainly has a light, care-free tone to it, but the various sounds seem off somehow. Like near the end of the loop, the sounds seem to become a little jumbled in my opioin. It feels kind of soothing though, and the sound isnt really bad. Its just one of those loops that isnt particularly catchy.

Three whiskeys, please!

"I feel like I in a pub."

date: May 18, 2008

I love the simplistic tone to it. It really makes me feel as though I was in a local pub, ordering a couple whiskeys, as the title suggests. However, it does not have much depth, and isnt a very dynamic loop. Its definetly something that gets old rather quickly. But I do love the style. <333

Author's Response:

Yup, I made this to be all cheery and not very deep. I make a variety of songs, and this one was my outcast :P
Lol, thanks for reviewing again!

Inequitable Equality

"I'd call it a foot-tapper."

date: May 18, 2008

I couldnt help but tap my foot and bob my head as I listened. It has a bubbly feel to it, and it seems very upbeat. I like the way it sort of climaxs and then slowly settles down, although I believe it climaxed a bit too early(lol). The main critique goes along with the other two reviewers. It is quite obviously a repetitive piece, however it's repetitiveness isnt REALLY bad, its just there.

May 19, 2008

Author's Response:

Hey, thanks again. I believed the climax was fine for its length--though I admit I wasn't really thinking when to stick it in, I just did :)

Surrealist Sailing

"-snore-"

submission: Surrealist Sailing
date: May 18, 2008

It was certainly ambient and smooth, however it was not my cup of tea. It was boring to me, although it had a interesting blend of sounds. It never seemed to change all that much to me, but maybe I just dont have a good ear for pieces like this.

Random thought:
*I love ginger tea..*
Yeah I don't really know what kind of ear I have for music since I usually do a variety of songs. In truth, I'm working on a vocal song right now. It's kind of comedic and stupid :D
